Corporate Legal Counsel

Serve as the company's primary legal adviser across corporate operations. The role shapes policy, strengthens regulatory compliance and internal controls, manages legal proceedings, and helps leadership anticipate and reduce legal risk.

Legal Advisory and Corporate Governance

• Provide practical legal advice on corporate matters, company policies, and legal positions.

• Anticipate legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and advise on litigation prevention.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Identify compliance vulnerabilities, develop mitigation measures, and support an integrated risk-management and compliance framework.

• Establish effective internal controls and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Develop and oversee integrated risk-management and compliance training.

Contracts, Procurement, and Transactions

• Advise on employment law, contracts, procurement, commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

Litigation and External Counsel Management

• Manage litigation strategy and oversee the engagement, performance, and cost of external counsel.

Legislative and Regulatory Monitoring

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and explain their potential impact to senior leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in law, preferably from a reputable university in the Philippines.

• Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines with current MCLE compliance.

• Three to five years of experience in governance management and corporate law.

• Ability to give independent oral and written advice to senior management on highly technical matters.

• Demonstrated experience managing a range of litigation matters.

• Strong leadership, analytical, planning, negotiation, and communication skills, with the judgment to handle sensitive matters carefully.
